Hi friends!
If you've wondered even once where I've been in the past 2 1/2 months, I'm flattered haha
I plan to make this platform much more active in 2025 and I would love to hear what topics interest you! You can leave a comment on the bottom of this page with this button
You might wonder why I haven't consistently posted on here, and the truth is two-fold: I haven't managed my time as well as I should have, and I want to be careful I'm posting what He has me post. So my main 2025 goal for this platform is to post at least 2-3 times a month if not more. We shall see if 2025 Joel becomes that disciplined lol
Let me highlight some big moments in 2024!
A new family member!
In October 2024, I welcomed my first dog, Jack. Jack was rescued by a church friend and taken care of by her and her family for over a month while they tried to track down his owners. Once they reached a dead end, they posted about him on my church's Facebook page. One of our mutual friends showed me her post and asked if I wanted a dog. The rest is history! Thanks to these kind people, I have the sweetest dog ever. Jack is a Pitbull/English Pointer mix who loves to cuddle, play outside, and be anywhere near me when I'm home. He thinks he's a lap dog when in reality he's 60 lbs so...imagine that leaping onto you when you sit down with your cup of coffee.
Here he is:
A new job!
I've been with my current Microsoft Excel education company for 2 1/2 years managing their back office and teaching Excel to the public. I developed a passion for office management, organization, and helping run a small business with this role, and I'm excited to continue that journey with S4S Design+Build as their office manager! I start next month, and I cannot wait to see what I learn in this new chapter.
Therapy!
I was reminded this year that mental health is incredibly important and I decided to face a few things head-on. This wasn't an easy year for my mental health, by FAR, but I can honestly say my faith and passion for Jesus has grown tremendously and I'm doing better than ever now.
That pretty much sums up my year :) I look forward to posting a lot more on here and sharing lessons in 2025.
Thanks for reading, friends.
Happy New Year!!
