Why you need salvation

The recognition of our need for Jesus starts with acknowledging our imperfections, much like discovering little knots in the fabric, and admitting that we've all stumbled and fallen short (Romans 3:23). Like a skilled weaver tending to those knots, Jesus offers to mend our brokenness (Romans 6:23) and grants us the opportunity to spend eternity with Him in heaven. His sacrifice on the cross is the ultimate gesture of love, smoothing out this tapestry of life and restoring us to wholeness. How do we embrace this precious gift of eternal life with Jesus? It's simple - just talk to Jesus, admit you're a sinner and you need a Savior, and invite Him into your heart to save you.

Admittance

The first step is admitting you're a sinner. We have all done something, actually many things, that are not right. Even one little lie or one impure thought are enough to bar the way to heaven. There is no one perfect in the world. How do we know? Because the Bible says so right here: Romans 3:23 states, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”

The second step is to realize that we need a remedy for sin, a solution to our sinful state. That solution is Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23 reads, “For the ways of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The payment for our sin is death and spending eternity in hell. But the gift of God, Jesus paying the price for our sins on the cross, means we have eternal life if we ask him into our hearts.

Dear Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned. I know that the sin in my life keeps me from heaven. So I ask Jesus to come into my heart right now and wash my sins away and be my Savior. I believe Jesus died on the cross for MY sins. I want to go to heaven someday when I die and not hell. Amen
